Picking up a few things for apéros over the next several days.

As an American, I always find it strange — in a good way — to see the mayor of a city this size just be out in public by himself, with no security detail nor entourage of hangers-on, doing weekly shopping at the market like a normal person. In that position, it must be nice to carry on a private life in public like the rest of us.
